Week 16: D2

I love how flexible this class is. I like how I am given a schedule of when things were due for the whole semester and I get to do it on my own time. It also helped me figure out my schedule and mange my time better. I also like how we have a week to take our quizzes and test. It gave people time to figure out when they will be ready to take the quiz or test.

I think the least favorite thing about this class was the group projects. Since it was an online class I found it hard to meet up with people to work on the projects. The idea of an online class is so that we can fit school in our busy lives and it was hard to adjust everyone’s life so that we can meet up for an hour or so for the project.

I cannot find anything that this class needs to improve on because it was a pretty good class. Wait, maybe one thing can be change...final exam online instead of a real meeting final at 8PM would have been nice. :)

  1. Hi Cynthia! :)
I agree that the group projects were kinda...eh. I think we could've made due without them. Then again, it is a communications class. Well actually, I don't mind the group project idea as a whole, but I just hated how we had to, like you said, try to schedule a meeting time when EVERYONE in the group wasn't busy. I know for our group, it was really difficult. Everyone had totally different schedules and if we did get to meet, it was only a few, not everyone. Thank goodness for modern technology for bringing us together though. I think what I found most surprising for our projects, there wasn't any sort of awkwardness when we first met. Usually when meeting someone that we've never met before, there's always an awkward silence. We just jumped right into it and started talking. haha
Good luck on the final and all your other finals as well! It was nice getting to know you this semester with the group projects and such. haha :)

  2. Hey Cynthia! I feel exactly the same way the favorite and least favorite thing about this class. I absolutely loved the flexibility of the class and being able to do the work on my own time. I also liked that the schedule for all assignments was out at the beginning of the semester, which allowed me to manage my time well. My least favorite thing was also the group projects. It was not necessarily the work that made me dislike the group projects, but it was the time scheduling for each person, and having to meet up was a group. Anyways, I’m glad we were able to work in the same group together!

  3. Hello Cynthia!
I agree with your post. I do think that this class was very flexible especially with my hectic work schedule. I also didn't like the group projects because this IS an online class and it is hard to get all the group members together because we all have other things to do when we don't have class, such as work. I think this class would have been alot easier if it wasn't an online class because we'd be able to work in groups for the group project during class, you know? I also did like how professor Perez had the whole schedule for us on her page because that helps us plan accordingly to our schedule. Great post, and goodluck on finals! :)

  4. what is up cynthia,
i really enjoyed reading your blog post for this week. however, i do not agree to what you have said about the group project because i found it to be useful to hang out with other students and discussing the argument with different perspectives to the discussion. i knew that it is going to be tough getting together as group for the assignment but everyone should find a solution that fits to everyone schedule. plus it give us a chance to meet new people who is in our class. any way it was still a great post for the last week. good luck to you on the final and i hope i could get to see on the final. peace out.
